Double-girder top running cranes may be provided in Class A, B, C, D, and E of the CMAA, with typical capacities of 500 tons and spans up to 200 feet or longer. When designed correctly, double beam bridge crane may be an ideal solution for businesses needing heavy-to-medium-duty cranes, or facilities with limited headroom and/or floor space. A double beam design can be a cost-effective choice for a heavy-duty crane at a manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly facility. Double beam bridge crane typically require a higher clearance above the cranes beam-level elevation, as the lift trucks traverse above the girders on the cranes deck.
